Odessa border guard detachment

Odessa border guard detachment ensures protection of the state border section:
by sea - 146 km
by coast line - 180 km.
Border protection is performed by border guard divisions: “Kurortne”, “Chornomorsk”, “Odessa”, “Odessa-Airport”, “Pivdennyi”, border guard division (type C).
There are 6 border crossing points and 2 control points functioning at the border section:
- for maritime and ferry traffic international passenger and cargo “Chornomorsk sea port”;
- for maritime traffic: international passenger and cargo "Odesa sea commercial port”, “ Chornomorsk fishing port”, international cargo “Chornomorsk shiprepair yard”, “ Pivdennyi sea Commercial Port”;
- for air traffic: “Odesa international airport”;
- border control points: “Lisky” international railway checkpoint, “Vizyrka” international sea checkpoint.
protection the state border of Ukraine, ensuring compliance with regime of the state border and border regime;
implementation of border control and passing of persons, vehicles, cargoes and other property across the state border of Ukraine, as well as identification and prevention cases of illegal movement;
maritime border protection;
participation in combating against the organized crime;
coordination the activities of military formations and relevant law enforcement agencies related to the protection of the state border of Ukraine.
