During the weekend, as part of a joint special border operation "Zahid-2023", border guards prevented 12 cases of border violations and detained 15 Ukrainian citizens who were attempting to enter Moldova and Romania outside of border checkpoints

Operatives from the Chernivtsi unit, together with the border guard unit from the "Hvizdivtsi" division, stopped a car near the Ukrainian-Moldovan border. There were four conscripts in the car with documents. Three men turned out to be locals who were attempting to organize an illegal crossing of the border into Moldova for a resident of Novodnistrovsk. In addition, over the weekend, border guards from the "Kelmenci", "Krasnoilsk", "Selyatyn", and "Shybeny" units detained another 14 offenders who were attempting to illegally cross the state border. They were residents of Donetsk, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi regions. All offenders were taken to border guard units for prosecution. A message about the detection of signs of a criminal offense was sent to the National Police regarding the organizer and accomplices.
