Warning! The rules of entry into Slovakia have been changed

According to the information provided by the Border Police of the Slovak Republic, from 08.00 (Kyiv time) on June 10, 2020, the procedure for entry of foreigners into Slovakia from the territory of Ukraine will be changed.

Therefore, persons with permanent or temporary residence permits and those who have been issued a certificate from the competent ministry are allowed to enter the territory of the Slovak Republic if they present a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19 in the Slovak, Czech, English or German languages or translated into one of these languages. The duration of the test results should not exceed 96 hours. Mandatory observation for the specified category of persons and compliance with the mobile application "Smart karanténa" ("Smart quarantine") is cancelled.

At the same time, such persons must be kept in isolation at home and undergo a laboratory test for COVID-19 within 5 days of arrival.

Transit through the territory of the Slovak Republic is allowed subject to the following conditions:

-transit of citizens of the European Union and their families upon return to the EU country of which they are citizens. These persons must pass through the territory of the Slovak Republic without stopping no more than 8 hours from the entrance, taking into account the necessary refuelling;

 -transit of third-country nationals to the European Union in which they have a permanent or temporary residence permit. Upon entering Slovakia, they must present a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19 in the Slovak, Czech, English or German languages or translated into one of these languages. The duration of the test results should not exceed 96 hours. Such persons must pass through the territory of the Slovak Republic without stopping no more than 8 hours after entry, taking into account the necessary refuelling.

We remind you that the following border crossing points are currently operating on the border with Slovakia:

Uzhhorod - Vyshnie Niemetske (for road transport);

Malyi Bereznyi - Ublia (for car and pedestrian connections);

Mali Selmentsi - Velke Slementse (for pedestrian connections).
