Due to the recent events taking place in the eastern regions of Ukraine and spreading the calls to further antigovernment protests, including those at the state border, the State border Guard Service of Ukraine informs again that the state border is guarded intensely and the Border Agency will use any possible measures to provide the compliance with law at the state border. As of today, border guard units are ready for guarding and protecting of their facilities against any kind of aggression.

It should be noted that the territories of military camps and units, BCPs are the territories of posts. Thereafter, should any attempts to occupy or to block them will occur, border guards will respond to the situation and will fully carry out the tasks assigned.

Should the need arise, according to the Ukrainian law and Armed Forces Regulations,  border guards will be forced to use firing arm.

Please be informed again that any actions aiming to destabilize the situation at the border foresee administrative and criminal responsibility.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reckons upon the wisdom of local inhabitants of the border area and their prudence in taking any decisions.
