The second regional international instructors training took place from 6 to 10 December in Tbilisi (Georgia).

The event was held as part of the joint initiative “Contact - Black Sea” managed by the United Nations Institute for Crime and Justice UNICRI (United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute).

The training was attended by about 30 representatives of state security agencies and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, including personnel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The purpose of the training was to improve the knowledge gained during previous exercises in October 2021. The issues of development, organization and preparation for conducting national trainings in 2022 on combating the illicit proliferation of radioactive and nuclear materials in the Black Sea region were considered.

The main focus of the training was on the development of training programs that should increase the level of various structures and organizations personnel training and ensure compliance and quality implementation of Ukraine's, Georgia's and Moldova's international commitments to strengthen nuclear non-proliferation.
