Representatives and organizers of the event praised the achievements of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in mainstreaming the gender component in all areas of the department.

On March 23, 2021, at the invitation of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), gender and human resources management specialists from the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took part in an online seminar on “Implementation of gender issues in the personnel management departments of border and security agencies in the OSCE region”.

The online event was attended by more than 90 law enforcement officials from all around the world, including the European Union, North and Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, who shared their personal experiences and achievements in the implementation of gender policy.

The Border Guard Service of Ukraine presented a report on the topic: “Implementation of gender policy during the selection, recruitment and promotion of women in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine”.

In addition, on the basis of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky will be held III International Scientific and Practical Conference “Implementation of gender policy at the current stage of development of the security and defense sector of Ukraine: status, problems, prospects”. The event will take place on April 29, 2021 online.
