In an interview with “RBC-Ukraine” News Agency, Serhii Deineko commented on how ready the State Border Guard Service is ready for the third wave of Ukrainians return.

The head of the State Border Guard Service replied that the agency is ready to cope with the passenger flow.

“We are ready for this, it is not new to us. We foresaw the situation for a long ago,” said Serhii Deineko.

He also added his proposal to fight unemployment: "I can employ 10,000 people, please let them come back. I think that our military commissars will work properly and we will fill up our ranks, the Ministry of Defence will also fill their ranks due to shortage of manpower. Therefore, we welcome everyone!", - said Serhii Deineko.

In the same interview, the Head of the State Border Guard Service noted that the shortage of manpower is 23-24%, and the spring military conscription is postponed due to quarantine.

“We planned to conscript about 1,300 people in spring. At the same time, from 2008 to 2016, we had no conscripts at all, we became the first military formation that switched to the recruitment of contracted servicemen. But with the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014 and dismissal of the mobilized, many full-time positions appeared, and we had to return to recruitment at "conscripts", - said Serhii Deineko.
