Border guards of Zhytomiyr border guard detachment in cooperation with customs service representatives detected nearly 80 grams of narcotic substance in the "St. Petersburg-Odessa" train. During the inspection at “Vystupovychi” railway border crossing point, border guards detected 8 packages, wrapped in foil, in one of the carriages. Each package contained 10 grams of narcotic substance, according to preliminary identification – cannabis. That was a service dog that helped officers to detect drugs. Packages with “grass” were confiscated and sent for examination.

 

In total, since the beginning of the year border guards detected nearly 54 kg of narcotic substance, 30 kg of them were detected with the help of service dogs.
