In Crimea personnel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continue perform duties and abide by their Oath and the Ukrainian people.

Despite the blockade of Azov-Black sea regional directorate, Simferopol border guard detachment, "Kerch" border guard division, Kerch and Sevastopol Maritime Guard detachments the border guard officers continue perform their duties at border crossing points "Crimea" and airport Simferopol.

However recently the pressure of Russian military people on border guard officers has drastically increased. During seizures of border guard units there are  brutal use of physical force, threat of weapon and menace. Professionals of Russian Special Forces try to perform psychological pressure on border guard officers and in categorical form demand to obey to the new management of the Crimea Autonomous Republic. They actively make attempts to crimp personnel, call for information on investigation-operational divisions and information on operating personnel. They try to get confidential information on leaders of SBGS structural subunits. They make assertive suggestions to cooperate and official placement.

We want to underline that the intensification of units seizure and pressure on military people started after the Parliament of Crimea's Speaker Volodymyr Kostiantynov statement about pertinacity of Border Guard officers and active resistance to decisions of newly appointed authority of Crimea.

At the moment courage and firmness of every officer of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the Crimea Autonomous Republic make it possible to perform duties defined by the Laws and other legislative acts of Ukraine, not allow seizing weapon, and perform border control at official crossing points.
