In Lviv region a man who was restricted from traveling abroad tried to enter Poland with the help of a bribe.

On the night of May 13 at the Krakivets border crossing point border guards refused to allow a 28-year-old resident of Khmelnytsky region to cross the border. The traveller was restricted from traveling outside Ukraine due to non-payment of alimony. However, the man found funds for a bribe. He offered the shift leader an illegal benefit in the amount of 1,500 hryvnias and 200 zlotys to help him get to Poland. The officer refused the bribe and informed the Internal Security Department and the National Police about the “generous traveller”.

The actions of the man show signs of a crime under Article 369 of the Criminal Code “Offer, promise or illegal benefit to an official”, which means a fine of up to seven hundred and fifty non-taxable minimum incomes or imprisonment for up to four years.
