Within the controlled border areas of Rivne region, joint interdepartmental groups have taken measures to identify and process offenses related to the illegal extraction of raw amber.

Special events were held for several days within the Sarny and Varash regions by groups of border guards, State Border Guard Service operatives and National Police officers.

During the joint raids, law enforcement officers recorded places with obvious signs of soil erosion, where there were the attempts to illegally extract minerals, and found one homemade motor pump. It’s necessary to identify those involved in the illegal activities.

Simultaneously with the measures taken to prevent subsoil use offenses, law enforcement officers carried out preventive work with the population in order to comply with the legislation of Ukraine within the controlled border areas.
