In Kharkiv region border guards detained loggers - violators of legislation on the state border, wildlife, as well as quarantine restrictions and traffic rules.

Recently, border guards of Kharkiv Detachment have detected violators of the state border legislation. Border guard detail of Vilhuvatka Division stopped a GAZ-53 truck on the outskirts of the village of the same name. Neither a driver nor a passenger were able to present identity documents or vehicle documents to the border guards. In addition, they transported illegally felled trees by truck. After all, deforestation at the border must be agreed with the state border guard service authority, and this was not done.

In addition, the law prohibits activities causing increased noise and disturbance, including sanitary deforestation during the period of mass reproduction of wild animals - from April 1 to June 15.

The detained men turned out to be citizens of Ukraine. For violating the border regime, the State Border Guard Service officers drew up administrative reports on the loggers and prosecuted them in the form of a fine of 170 hryvnias each.

To make a legal decision, border guards sent a report to the National Police about the signs of other violations, namely – “Illegal logging or illegal transportation, storage, sale of forest” (Article 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), “Violation of the rules of quarantine” (Article 44 -3 of the CAO) and “Driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the relevant documents for the right to drive such a vehicle or has not presented them for inspection, or there is a temporary restriction on the right to drive vehicles” (Article 126 of the CAO).
