Young officers graduated the National Academy of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky. The Director of the Personnel Department of the Administration of the State Border Guard Service colonel-general Mykhailo KOVAL participated in the occasion. It was the 20^th? Anniversary graduation of the borderguard officers who start their service at the border.

This year 220 highly qualified lieutenants graduated from the Academy. The names of six of them are engraved on the honour plaque, 37 graduates received diplomas with honours. Except the young lieutenants 77 officers who were on retraining courses, graduated from the Academy.

In addition, junior specialists graduated the Training Center of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The ceremony was held on the hill of Fame in Chherkasy. This place is deeply symbolic, since Heroes of the Soviet Union of the Soviet Army who gave their lives in fighting for the city during World War II were buried there. 207 professionally trained borderguards passed final examinations. For the 105 recruits this holiday was remarkable in double, because they have sworn allegiance to the people of Ukraine.
