On December 5, a press conference was held in “Ukrinform” where the Strategic Communications Development Plan within the Ministry of Internal Affairs was presented.

During the event, the results of a unique project on the implementation of strategic communications within the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine were announced. The project is supervised by the the Strategic Communications Center "StratCom Ukraine" with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine and the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine.

“We have a war going on. Including the information warfare. And we all have to understand it. Information should be going under the multistage checking,” said the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Serhii Deineko.

He also reported on the structural changes the Service has already undergone. According to Serhii Deineko, the main changes were preceded by a system audit of the current state of affairs, on the basis of which a number of tasks for their priority reform were identified. Particular attention is paid to the issue of strategic communications, which are an effective system in countering the challenges of destructive propaganda, information threats, as well as ensuring continued trust to the border guard agency.
