Recently, First Deputy Head of the State Border Guard Service Volodymyr Nikiforenko has had a meeting with the Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center, Deputy Head of the OSCE Secretariat Ms.Catherine Fearon who is a Special Representative of the OSCE Chairmanship, namely OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the current state of implementation of joint projects with the OSCE and further directions for their strengthening and continuation.

At the same time, OSCE representatives were informed about the existing threats in the field of border security and the importance of accumulating international assistance to effectively combat all existing and potential cross-border risks and threats in the context of Russian aggression.

It is important to note that the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the OSCE have a long history of implementing joint projects in the field of combating illicit trafficking in weapons, ammunition and explosives, as well as terrorism, and in providing chemical safety.

The participants of the meeting reached an agreement on further joint plans and the need to intensify such cooperation within existing projects and further joint initiatives.
