Several days ago, border guards of Smilnytsia border crossing point, Mostysk border guard detachment (Lviv oblast) in cooperation with customs service representatives prevented export of Euro and Dollars from Ukraine.

In the afternoon, “Opel” vehicle arrived to border crossing point for departure from our country. Border guards directed the vehicle to “red lane” for additional border control procedures. Border guards were informed in advance about possible transfer of currency by this vehicle. Besides driver – 41 year-old citizen of Germany, three more passengers – inhabitants of Odesa were in the vehicle. The inspection group detected 56.4 thousand Euro and 200 US Dollars in their personal staffs. Under the law, 10 000 of Euro among detected money were returned to each traveler. The rest – 16.4 thousand Euro and 200 Dollars were detected and transmitted to customs service representatives.
