The representatives of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in cooperation with Customs Service representatives detected cartridges and substantial sum of cash in one of the border crossing points in Sumy oblast.

A citizen of Russia tried to get to Ukraine by “Toyta Corolla” vehicle through the “Bachivsk” border crossing point. He chose the “green lane” for border control procedures. However, border guards were informed in advance about possible transfer of prohibited items and, therefore, the detailed inspection of the vehicle was initiated. During inspection, border guards found 10 hunting cartridges (cal. 16 mm), equipped with steel bullets and 2 packs with capsules for hunting cartridges, each containing 150 pieces. Moreover, 20 000 EUR and 20 000 RUB in cash were found in the car.

The detected ammunition, cash (equivalent of 225 000 UAH) and vehicle “Toyota Corolla” (production year 2006; preliminary estimated at 150 000 UAH) were confiscated. The relevant procedural documents are complied as of the violator.
