At dawn working out operational information on possible illegal activities, 30 meters from the border, the servicemen detected a group of people. Realizing that they had been exposed, the offenders left the goods and fled. Later, during search operations, border guards detained one of the fugitives. He turned out to be a 20-year-old resident of the village of Seliatyn.

Subsequently, the Bukovynian was taken to the border guard unit for filtering measures and processing of administrative procedural documents for attempting to violate the state border regime.

According to preliminary estimates, the approximate cost of the detected 6,000 packs of cigarettes is about 200,000 hryvnias. The goods will be handed over to the SFS employees.
