Yesterday evening a car "Citroen" arrived at "Porubne" checkpoint. The Moldovian citizen, who was driving the car, claimed during the border and customs control that he was not carrying prohibited objects or substances across the border.

However, the borderguards of Chernivtsi Border Detachment initiated a detailed inspection of the car and inspected it together with customs officials. It was found out that the man had 2 ancient Bibles, a metal bracelet, 2 necklaces, a pendant and 8 glasses in the driver`s cabin. A plastic bag with green substance, according to the driver`s words – hashish, was also found under the front driver's seat with the help of service dog Johnny.

Administrative protocols were drawn up on the violator. The substance and detected items were submitted to expert examination. The National Police and the Security Service officials were informed of this case.
