At the meeting parties discussed the cooperation between Ukrainian border agency and Embassy of Pakistan to Ukraine regarding the issues of border crossing procedures for both Ukrainians and Pakistani citizens, as well as identification and documentation.

Yesterday, at the Administration of the State Border Guard Service, the Acting Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Yurii Gresko had a Meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine, Mr. Zahid Mubashir Sheikh and the Head of Chancery Mr. Zeb Alam Khan.

During the meeting parties discussed the cooperation between the border agency of Ukraine and Embassy of Pakistan to Ukraine on mutual travel of citizens and interaction regarding identification of Pakistan citizens. Also, there were discussed the opportunities for further bilateral relations development with the Consular Department and strengthening the cooperation within the competence.

“Existing cooperation between the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine is conducted on the appropriate level and in the future we will strive to improve our cooperation”, - Yurii Gresko stated.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine Mr. Zahid Mubashir Sheikh noted that one of the main goal of Embassy is to improve the border crossing procedures for Pakistani. In particular, he suggested to facilitate border formalities of entering the Ukraine by tourists and businessmen from Pakistan.

At the end of meeting the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine thanked for the opportunity to meet with the leadership of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and to define the important issues for further cooperation.
