As part of the anti-pandemic measures, traffic through some border crossing points (BCPs) at the border with the Republic of Moldova has temporarily been ceased since 17 March 2020.

This decision was made by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, taking into account the decision of the Government of Ukraine.

According to this decision:

From 00.00. of March 17, 2020 all types of movement at the following border crossing points across the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border were temporarily suspended: “Bolhan”, “Platonove”, “Kuchurhan”, “Serpneve-1”, “Vynohradivka”, “Vashkivtsi”, “Velyka Kosnytsia” , “Tymkove”, “Stanislavka”, “Oleksiivka”, “Yosypivka”, “Velykoploske”, “Slovyanoserbka”, “Hradyntsi”, “Maloyaroslavets-1”, “Dolynske”, “Podviryivka”, “Zelena”, “Hrabarivka”, “Studena”, “Shershentsi”, “Domnytsia”, “Fedosiivka”, “Dubove”, “Pavlivka”, “Hrebenyky”, “Rozalivka”, “Zaliznychne”, “Sokyriany”, “Kelmentsi”, “Bronnytsia”, “Novi Troiany”, “Vysochanske”, “Krutoyarivka”, “Lisne”, “Faraonivka”, “Oleksandrivka”, “Petrivsk”, “Chervonoarmiiske”, “Mamalyha-railway”, “Kelmentsi-railway”, “Tsekynivka-ferry”, "Tsekynivka-river", "Velyka Kosnytsia-river", "Yampil-river", "Yampil-ferry", "Mykhailivka-river", "Oksanivka-river".

It is possible to cross the border with the Republic of Moldova at the BCPs: “Palanka-Maiaky-Udobne”, “Starokozache”, “Reni”, “Mohyliv-Podilskyi”, “Rossoshany”, “Mamalyha” and “Tabaky”. Pedestrians are not allowed to cross the  border at these checkpoints due to the fact that pedestrian traffic is suspended (according to the CMU Order of March 13, 2020 No. 288-p).

In addition, there are ongoing BCPs "Sokyriany-railway", "Frikatsei-railway", "Mohyliv-Podilskyi-railway" and "Reni-railway".

It should be noted that the traffic at the control points Karabutseny-railway and Bolhrad-railway was also suspended.

It is possible to enter Ukraine for: citizens of Ukraine; foreigners and stateless persons entitled to permanent or temporary residence in Ukraine, are spouses or children of Ukrainian citizens, employees of foreign diplomatic missions and consular offices accredited in Ukraine, representations of official international missions, organizations accredited in Ukraine, and their family-members; drivers and service personnel of freight vehicles, crew members (entry into Ukraine of other categories of foreigners and stateless persons is allowed in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Citizens of other countries and stateless persons will not be able to enter Ukraine.

According to official and open source reports:

It is possible to enter Moldova for: Moldovan citizens, foreign nationals and stateless persons who have the right to permanent or temporary residence in Moldova, drivers and service personnel of freight vehicles, crew members; employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices accredited in the Republic of Moldova, representatives of official international missions, organizations accredited in Moldova and their family-members. Other categories of foreigners and stateless persons will enter Moldova with the agreement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova.

Nationals of other countries (with the exceptions listed) will not be able to enter Moldova.
