New specialized small boats of the Ukrainian production for departments of special actions of the Odessa and Mariupol detachments of Marine Guard passed sea trials and increased ship-and-boat strength of marine border guards.

The winners of the tender for the construction of boats for special forces of sea border guards Kharkiv enterprise "Brig LTD" is not for the first time implementing a military cooperation project, therefore, the approach to accomplishing the order is deep and balanced. "Despite the fact that the main products of the company are goods for active recreation and sports, the personal civil position of the managers and the workforce is the leading motive for participation in the creation of boats for the defenders of the sea borders, "said Oleh Isenko, Director of Brig LTD.

The Regional Department of Marine Guard has developed a technical task and formulated clear requirements for future boats: speed, maneuverability, capacity, range of navigation, equipment with modern navigation and radar equipment, communications, ergonomics of the hull, fuel consumption, etc.

Therefore, small boats are decorated with a stationary diesel engine, have a fuel reserve of more than 300 liters, can accommodate 11 servicemen, take on board a total of 1500 kg, that is, an increased assault group in full equipment and weapons. It is important that these boats are equipped with a special ladder for lifting the diver, which will allow underwater inspections of ships, for example, at anchorage or in the open sea before the ship enters the port. And also, a trailer for ground transportation of the boat is supplied with the boat. Thus, the special unit has increased mobility and can move for point actions at the different parts of the coast and various reservoirs of the border zone.

Special forces soldiers took part in the ceremony of accepting the boats and conducting test maneuvers, and checking all the declared characteristics. On sea trials, "Brigs" demonstrated a speed of 32 to 35 knots (about 70 km / h), depending on the load.

Already with the beginning of the new navigation season, special operations units on the Azov and Black Seas will perform service duties on new boats.
