The “feathered friends” rescued by the border guards have already come round and returned to their usual life. We recall that the other day at the BCP “Boryspil” operating officers of the Separate crossing point "Kiev" found two birds in the luggage of a Ukrainian who flew from Ukraine to the Emirates. The man tied the birds, put hats on them, closing their eyes, and hid them in his cramped suitcase.

Birds of prey from a series of falcon-like species included into the Red Book were intended for transferring across the border without proper permits and customs clearance. At that time, rare birds with a complicated fate were taken away by law enforcement officers and transferred to a specialized establishment.

A few days passed and law enforcement officers decided to ask how the rescued falcons were living. The birds recovered, had a good appetite and are already got used to the new place. The border guards are sincerely glad for the rescued birds and, by the way, have given them names - Pandora and Elvis.
