June 8 as part of criminal proceedings under Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, a serviceman of the Diakove Border Guard Division of the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment was detained.

The border guard was caught just while receiving from the local resident $500 of the illegal benefit for facilitating the illegal transportation of tobacco products across the border from Ukraine to Hungary.

The bribe-taker was detained by the officers of the Internal and Personal Security unit on the Mukachevo border guard detachment of the Main Department of the IPS "West" of the State Border Guard Service, operative officers of the Office of Strategic Investigations in the Zakarpattia region of the OSI of the National Police of Ukraine, investigators of the SBI in Lviv, under the procedural guidance of the Uzhhorod garrison military prosecutor's office.
