In the border area of Odesa region in accordance with the operational information with the involvement of the border guard special unit the automobile "VAZ" was stopped for inspection.

Law enforcement officers detained a vehicle near the settlement of Kosy, Podilsk district. A local resident, born in 1979 was driving the car. It turned out that the man packed the car boot with 5 boxes of cigarettes without excise duty stamps.

Tobacco products in the amount of 2500 packs of cigarettes were seized. Their previous estimate amounted to UAH 90,000.

Currently, the details of transporting the counterfeit goods within the border area are being found out.
