According to the level of public trust/ distrust in social institutions, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine ranks seventh.

The number of citizens who trust the Border Guard Agency is 28 percent higher than those who do not trust.

Such data are cited by a nationwide survey conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation in collaboration with the Sociological Service of Razumkov Center. During the survey, from December 13 to December 18, 2019, in all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, 2017 respondents aged 18 years were interviewed. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.

It is worth noting that besides border guards 12 social institutions have a positive balance of trust - Armed Forces of Ukraine + 48% (the highest). The next ones are: church + 40%, volunteer organizations + 39%, SES (+ 33%), the President of Ukraine (+ 32%). The State Border Guard Service is ranked between the National Guard and voluntary military formations.

The survey also showed that the majority of Ukrainians support the country's course to the European Union (57%) and NATO (51%).

As for gifts, Ukrainians in the New Year would like to receive health (49%), peace in the country (40%), domestic harmony, understanding of the loved ones (29%).
