Border guards in cooperation with representatives of Ministry of Revenues and Taxes of Ukraine have detected cargo with alcoholic drinks in Sumy oblast.

Interagency group has stopped “Iveco” lorry in the suburb of Yampil. In the course of vehicle inspection and documents check, border guards have found 24 boxes with alcoholic drinks with unidentified Ukrainian and Russian excise labels. The excise labels, more likely, are forged, according to experts’ preliminary findings.

A driver, citizen of Ukraine, and two other persons in the car transported 320 bottles of «Jack Daniels», «Olmeca Bianco», «Milano», «Blue Label», «Hennessy» brands, and others. The men claimed they have been transporting the boxes to Odessa. The confiscated goods were preliminary estimated at 30 000 UAH.

An expertise for determining validity of the excise labels and the origin of the alcohol will be held.
