While checking out the information on possible smuggling across the Kuchurgan Estuary, the border guards of “Lymanske” border guard division detained a citizen of Ukraine.

The violator was steering from the Republic of Moldova with a big consignment of contraband cigarettes of foreign manufacture. He put 23 boxes of cigarettes on a sled for easier transportation. The smuggler also dressed a white cover and put a white sheet on a sled in order to stay undetected.

The border guards of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsk border guard detachment transmitted almost 11.5 thousand packs of the confiscated cigarettes to the customs officials. The preliminary estimation of cigarettes cost is more than 80 thousand UAH.

In another case, border guards of “Dilove” border guard division, Mukachevo border guard detachment, have detected 4 boxes of Ukrainian manufacture cigarettes not far from the state border on the bank of the Tysa River. The owner of the cigarettes was not found.
