International naval exercises “Sea Breeze 2012” are conducted in Odesa according to cooperation between Ministries of Defence of Ukraine and the USA. 16 countries of the world take part in those exercises. 

 

International naval exercises “Sea Breeze 2012” are conducted in Odesa according to cooperation between Ministries of Defence of Ukraine and the USA. 16 countries of the world take part in those exercises. Marine guard ships “Podillia”, “Ametyst” and marine guard cutter “Odesa” of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine take part in the multinational exercises together with vessels of Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; the aim of the exercises is to ensure security at sea.

Border guards, who ensure maritime border protection, worked out theoretical and practical measures and carried out training for divers during the 1^st phase of the exercises.

Further, during the exercises maritime border guards will participate in tactical manoeuvring, providing aid to a wrecked vessel and will also train actions to stop violating vessel for inspection.
