Relentless artillery fire and assaults on positions - that's what Ukrainian defenders encounter on the frontlines in Serebrianskyi Wood.

Due to atypical natural conditions for the Donbas region, such as mountains, forests, and swamps, the border guards defending the area alongside the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already nicknamed this territory the "Ukrainian Vietnam." Another peculiarity of this section of the frontline is the Siverskyi Donets River. Ukrainian positions are located on both sides, requiring constant crossings over this water artery. In these areas, the enemy closely targets the defenders.
