Border guards of Chernivtsi Border Guard Detachment detected a record amount of cigarettes at “Porubne” border crossing point.

Violators tried to transfer tobacco products to the EU countries, hiding it in paper rolls.

During the further control of truck border guards detected cigarettes. In total, 200 thousand packs of cigarettes were found. The sum of detected smuggling is about 6 million of UAH.

Smuggled cigarettes and truck were seized according to the law. The driver was prosecuted for administrative reason.
