In Bukovina, border guards detained a group of violators and their guide.

Acting on operational information near the border with Romania, border guards stopped a vehicle carrying a group of men. The driver fled deeper into Ukrainian territory.

Inside the vehicle, law enforcement officers found 8 men, residents of Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, and Lviv regions, who said they had paid the organizer between 5,500 and 8,000 euros each for the trip abroad. Administrative offense reports were filed regarding the detainees.

During further operational measures, a few hours later in the city of Chernivtsi, border guards stopped a passenger car driven by one of the organizers of the illegal scheme. He faces criminal liability under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The powerful SUV used by the violators was imported into Ukraine by a foreign citizen. The vehicle has been seized, and a court decision is expected regarding its transfer for use by military units.
