Operatives from the Odesa Border Guard Detachment, together with detectives from the Bureau of Economic Security, have uncovered another scheme for distributing illegal electronic cigarettes and refilling liquids. The perpetrators were distributing the counterfeit products in shipments across Ukraine via a specially created Telegram channel and delivery services. The market value of the seized excise goods and refilling liquids amounts to 3.2 million UAH.

Law enforcement officers discovered that local residents were storing smoking devices in a rented facility in Odesa.

During searches at the specially equipped storage location, the suspects' residences, and their vehicles, officers found and confiscated over 2,000 vapes, bottles with flavorings for e-cigarette refills, devices for heating the liquids, cardboard containers, and labels for packaging electronic tobacco products, as well as rough accounting records and cash.

Authorities are working to identify all individuals involved in the illegal activities.

The uncovering of this illicit activity was carried out by operatives from the Odesa Border Guard Detachment in collaboration with detectives from the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa Oblast, under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
