Work with public appeals

at the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

in 2014

 

10843 public appeals were received by management units of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in 2014. That number increased by 3.8% if compared with 2013 (10445 appeals), including:

7397 public appeals were received by the Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, that number decreased by 9.2% if compared with 2013 (8148 appeals);

2628 public appeals were received by Regional Directorates and border guard detachments of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, that number increased by 33.8% if compared with 2013 (1964 appeals);

818 public appeals were received by central subordinate units, that number increased by 2.5 times if compared with 2013 (333 appeals).

 

According to the results of internal commission checks and checks by prosecutors of General Procurator’s Office of Ukraine, the were detected no violations of criminal-procedural legislation, Law of Ukraine “On Public Appeals” and “On Status of People’s Deputy of Ukraine”.

The best work with public appeals during 2014 was carried out at the Personnel Department and Healthcare Department of the Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as well as in the Western, Southern and Eastern Regional Directorates, Chernivtsi, Mukachevo, Mohyliv-Podilsk, Simferopol, Lutsk border guard detachments.

The Head of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine determined the main tasks for 2015:

  • enhancing control over compliance with current legislation related to ensuring constitutional rights of citizens to lodge appeals;
  • improving work with the personnel, servicemen’s family members and other categories of citizens;
  • implementation of effective measures for eliminating the causes of public appeals to the Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and other higher authorities of Ukraine on matters which are within the competence of units’ chiefs  of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
