Operational officers of the Chop Border Guard Detachment detained persons involved in the smuggling of men of military age from Ukraine.

In the framework of criminal proceedings, law enforcement officers detained two persons on the outskirts of Mukachevo during committing the offense. The man and his accomplice delivered a client to the border with Hungary for a cash reward of USD 7000. The latter was detained under administrative procedure.

The law enforcement officers also conducted authorized searches at five addresses of the defendants in the criminal proceedings, during which they seized cash, flash drives, draft records, bank cards, brass knuckles, a knife, mobile phones, seals of individual entrepreneurs and other documents.

The operation was conducted jointly with the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine, under the procedural supervision of the Transcarpathian Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region.

The investigation is ongoing.
