As part of the joint special border operation "West-2023", employees of Chernivtsi detachment detained 8 border violators who tried to enter the EU countries illegally.

Implementing operational information, the team of "Krasnoilsk" department, with the force support of the special unit DOZOR, detained 4 men of draft age who were moving towards the Ukrainian-Romanian border. The offenders immediately tried to escape when they saw the border guards.

In addition, 4 more border violators were detained by military personnel of "Selyatyn" department at one of the checkpoints in Vyzhnytskyi district of Chernivtsi region. Residents of Kharkiv, Luhansk, Kherson and Khmelnytskyi regions were traveling to the border with Romania by car and could not explain the purpose of their arrival to the controlled border area.

All detained offenders were brought to the border units and documents for prosecution were drawn up.
