During the weekend, in the framework of the joint special border operation “WEST-2023,” servicemen of Chernivtsi border detachment detained 14 persons who tried to cross the state border behind the border crossing point.

During the realization of obtained information, operational units of the border detachment together with the border patrol of “Nyzhni Petrivtsi” border guard unit and cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stopped automobile near the state border with Romania. Besides the driver in the car interior were 4 more persons who couldn’t explain their purpose of being in the border area. Afterward, border guards detained another citizen of Ukraine who promoted illegal border crossing.

Besides, servicemen of “Kelmentsi”m, “Falkiv” and “Selyatyn” border guard divisions detained 8 violators who tried to cross the state border.

Border guards delivered all detainees to border guard divisions' locations.
