The car was stolen six years ago, it moved freely through the Schengen area and at last it reached the Ukrainian-Polish border.

Thus, a Volvo car of Polish registration arrived at Yahodyn border crossing point. It was driven by the citizen of Ukraine, who directed the vehicle into the green corridor without any suspicion. He really did not carry anything forbidden and did not have things to be declared.  But the vehicle itself had a dark past as it turned out.

The request to the Interpol database helped to identify the problem. As border guards found out, the car was stolen in Denmark in autumn 2014.

The car was confiscated and handed over to the National Police. And the national of Ukraine, who apparently hoped to save on the purchase of an affordable car from Europe, will have to be more careful, because so far, he received nothing but losses.
