The survey was conducted together with activists of NGOs and with representatives of the media through questionnaires and interviews of citizens when crossing the state border of Ukraine.

To improve the border crossing operations, the effectiveness of prevention of unlawful activities at checkpoints and in order to follow the corporative culture standards this weekend at “Tissa” and “Luzhanka” BCPs in Transcarpathia, border guards of Chop and Mukachiv border detachment conducted the monitoring of public opinion about the quality of department’s work and the level of trust to it on the part of the members of international movement. The survey was conducted together with activists of NGOs and with representatives of the media through questionnaires and interviews of citizens when crossing the state border of Ukraine.

For example, at “Tissa” BCP border guards used a questionnaire in two languages: Ukrainian and Hungarian that after filling in travelers left a special box.

At “Luzhanka” BCP the officers of Mukachevo Detachment conducted anonymous surveys of people crossing the state border, together with the activists of NGO “Native Mukachevo” and the representatives of local media. And to facilitate the process of monitoring the questionnaires were printed in Ukrainian, Hungarian and Romanian.

Currently, the survey results are being summarized, but one can state that such actions are positively evaluated by the participants of cross-border movement and representatives of the public. Therefore, this experience will be extended to the BCPs in other sectors.
