A border violator was detained yesterday by border guards of Podilskyi border guard detachment near the Havinosy village in Odesa region. The citizen of Ukraine tried to sneak into Moldova at night.

Despite the darkness, border guards detected a Ukrainian citizen moving towards the border. The offender did not respond to the border patrol's request to stop and ran away, which resulted in the loss of visual contact with him. However, the border guards quickly identified and detained the violator using an unmanned aerial vehicle with a thermal imaging camera.

A administrative offence protocol was drawn up against the detainee.
