At the Boryspil airport, law enforcement officers took measures to counteract the illegal movement of precursors across the border.

As a result of the measures taken, the border guards of the operational and search unit of separate Kyiv border crossing point together with the Security Service of Ukraine and customs officers prevented the illegal movement of precursors across the customs border of Ukraine in especially large amounts with concealment from control.

Six Ukrainian women were returning to Kyiv by plane from Sharm el-Sheikh.

Police officers inspected the luggage and personal belongings of women and detected a large number of pills containing the precursor in their suitcases. The rapid test confirmed that the pills contained pseudoephedrine.

In total, the women transported 395,250 pills, weighing a total of 79 kg.

Violators were prosecuted for violating customs regulations.

The pills were removed and sent for examination. Their estimated cost is about UAH 12 million.

Measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the case.
