Personal and internal security officers of the Lviv Border Guard Detachment exposed a 26-year-old resident of Lviv region who offered a bribe to a border guard for the illegal travel of two men abroad.

As law enforcement officers found out, two of our compatriots were entered into the Shlyakh system. According to the legend, the men were supposed to go abroad under the guise of drivers transporting humanitarian aid. After leaving the territory of Ukraine, the pseudo-drivers intended to find employment in the EU. The offender estimated his "services" at USD 3,500 per "client".  In order not to create obstacles during the border control, the Ukrainian offered a bribe of USD 2,000 to the border guard, which she categorically refused.

During the urgent investigative actions, in the framework of criminal proceedings under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code, the fact of providing the unlawful benefit was documented by a joint interagency group consisting of the officers of the West personal and internal security division of the Lviv Border Guard Detachment, officers of the Strategic Investigations Department in Lviv region, investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region.

The offender was detained. Law enforcement officers served the man a notice of suspicion. The investigation is ongoing.
