At the Odessa airport, border guards blocked an attempt to illegally import into Ukraine a large number of women's bags under the guise of well-known world brands.

The accessories arrived at Odessa airport on a flight from Istanbul. A man, a Turkish citizen, who was waiting for the cargo deliberately wanted to avoid paying customs duty, because under the guise of bed linen he tried to import 260 bags with the logos of famous brands into Ukraine.

The foreigner supposedly planned to sell the goods in elite Odessa boutiques. The goods were confiscated by law enforcement officers.

Measures to combat the illegal movement of goods across the border were carried out due to the informing by operatives of the Odessa Border Detachment together with customs officers and the SSU officers.
