Ukrainian border guards restored service at “Crimea” border crossing point

As it was informed earlier, in the evening of March 4 approximately 35 armed persons burst into “Crimea” border crossing point. Following unequal force confrontation and threatening to use weapons the attackers blocked work of Ukrainian law enforcement personnel. The border guard shift consisted of 15 persons, of them seven women. Functioning of the border crossing point was restored soon by the chief of “Kerch” border guard division together with rapid reaction group after their arrival and negotiations conducted with the Russian servicemen. Total of 544 persons were duly processed by Ukrainian border guards on March 4.

This fact is another proof of psychological pressure (physical force, verbal threats, blackmail) being applied to personnel of the Azov-Black Sea Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Despite this, the personnel do not leave their service working places and, not laying down arms, continues performing tasks relating to protection of the state border and remains faithful to the Oath and to Ukrainian people.
