On October 26, a meeting of representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova took place.

The event was held in Odessa in the framework of the Plan for the development of cooperation between the border guard agencies of both countries for 2020-2021.

During the meeting, the experts discussed the state of implementation of the bilateral agreement on readmission of persons, as well as finding ways to further improve this activity and ensure the effective implementation of international commitments.

The parties agreed to ensure an unconditional departure from the outdated approaches of reception and transfer of persons and to initiate amendments to the Implementation Protocol to the Agreement on the reception by border guards of both countries of all citizens detained for violating migration laws within controlled border areas.
