Border guards of the Lviv Border Guard Detachment detained two illegal migrants who were illegally trying to reach Poland.

Last night, a district border guard inspector of the Rava-Ruska Border Guard Division received information from a regular bus driver about two passengers with non-Slavic appearance who were on their way to one of the border settlements. The rapid response group, which immediately set out on search, found unknown people 1,500 meters from the border, on the outskirts of the village of Rata, Zhovkva district. During the interview of the detainees, the border guards found out that they were citizens of Algeria and Morocco. Foreigners did not have any identity documents with them. The men admitted that they intended to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border beyond border crossing points in order to find employment in the EU.

The border guards took the night travellers to the border guard unit to clear up the circumstances of the offense and to bring them to administrative responsibility for attempting to cross the state border of Ukraine illegally.
