Recently, the border guards of the Lviv BG Detachment detained two foreigners near the border with Poland.

The district inspector of the Shehyni BG division informed about the movement of unknown persons towards the state border.  A response team arrived at the scene and detained border violators.  They were citizens of Turkey - born in 1994 and 1990.  Border guards also found that the men entered Ukraine legally, but later decided to bypass the BCP to get to one of the EU countries.

Currently, measures are being taken to bring violators to justice under Art.  204-1 Administrative Offenses Code of Ukraine “Illegal crossing or attempt of illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.  The further fate of foreigners will be decided by the court.
