The detained persons were undocumented and identified as Indian citizens.

Individuals made their way through the woods outside the BCPs last night.  They were prevented from crossing the state border by a border patrol of the Luzhanka border guard division of the Mukachevo BG detachment, which was patrolling this section of the border.

In order to clarify all the circumstances of the offense, the detained persons were taken to the Luzhanka border guard division. During the interrogation, the border guards found out that in December last year, the Indians legally entered the territory of Ukraine and later planned to enter one of the EU countries illegally.

Border guards are currently identifying individuals who may be involved in organizing the illegal travel of foreigners. Protocols were drawn up against the citizens of India for the attempt to violate the state border, and the case was sent to court.
