Border guards from the Chop detachment detained two foreigners who intended to reach Slovakia illegally.

A local resident informed the district inspector of the Velykyi Bereznyi department about the appearance of unknown people heading towards the border on the outskirts of the Knyagynya settlement.

Borderguards immediately sent a response team to search for possible offenders. As a result of operative measures the borderguards detained two men at a distance of 3,500 meters from the State border. They had Armenian passports and said they intended to cross the border illegally.

The detainees were taken to the borderguard unit to draw up administrative procedural documents. They will be prosecuted.
