In Lviv region training of the State Border Guard Service unit within the JMTG-U is underway.

In particular, NATO instructors together with border guards of Rapid Response border guard commandant’s office of Izmail border guard detachment, servicemen of the operational battalion of the National Guard Rapid Response Brigade and 53^rd separate mechanized brigade have worked out a number of tasks and met control standards.

The servicemen have performed tasks of conducting offensive combat on armored personnel carriers, fire support exercises, in particular, reconnaissance units have practiced a raid with firing, and the liaison officers have complied with the standards for deployment and camouflage of stations, hardware, etc.

It should be recalled that the 55-day training course will last until October 1. The end result of the exercise will be holding of the international multinational exercise Rapid Trident-2021 in the period from September 20 to October 1, which will be related to strategic exercises in a single plan.

It should be noted that this year border guards will take part in the Rapid Trident 2021 exercises on their own, while performing tasks under the operational command of the brigade of land forces of Armed Forces of Ukraine. Accordingly, it is planned to perform tasks as in the course of stabilization actions. The main points will be working out the issues of strengthening and covering the state border of Ukraine.
